Dodgeville Trail Cluster
CORP Trails Membership and Waiver Required
The Dodgeville trail cluster is comprised of two adjacent properties, Bethel Horizons and Thistle Hill. Together, this system in the heart of the Drifless region offers eight miles of singletrack professionally built through stunning terrain. From beginner-friendly flow trail to challenging rock armoring and climbs, there is a variety to make this a destination. Fill out the waiver at the trailhead or via this link.
Bethel Horizons
Over five miles of professionally built mountain bike trails are perfect for beginner riders and those looking to improve their skills. These trails through the heart of the Driftless Area have bluffs, views and lots of elevation change. Note that this system has limited, seasonal hours; see details under “Things to Know.”
Thistle Hill
The Thistle Hill trails will put a smile on your face. The trails are intermediate two-way, single-track flow trails through pine and aspen forests with various features along the way (and there is always a B line!). They start high, meander along the ridge, and dive down the ravine through a series of bermed turns before climbing back out to complete a "lasso" (or lollipop, if you prefer). The out-and-back portion of the lasso is partly an old logging road, a double track, where you can imagine the original Norwegian settlers dragging up felled trees to build their cabin. There are plenty of rock features, bridges, and fun squeezes through rock outcroppings. The trail is approximately 3.5 miles long (with another 6 miles coming soon) and does not have a building on site—a true nature bath.

Current conditions
-
The Dodgeville Trail Cluster takes advantage of everything the driftless region has to offer. Between Bethel Horizons and Thistle Hill you can find over 7 miles of professionally built flow trials ranging from beginner to advanced. Start off atop the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin on relatively flat trails with gentle rollers and small berms. Increase the difficulty by heading down into the valleys for a faster ride with bigger berms and tighter turns. Look for features or B lines.
Bethel Horizons trails are closed to the public from June 15th to August 15th weekly beginning Sunday at 12:00 PM through Friday at 2:00 PM.
-
A Corp Trails membership and signed waiver is required to ride. Weekly memberships are available through this link or at the trailhead.
From June 1 - August 31, the trails are restricted to Friday after 4pm through Sunday at 12pm due to summer camp programs.
Bethel Horizons reserves that right to close the trails due to conflicts with other camp programming. These closures would be posted here.
-
Parking for Thistle Hill is at Bethel Horizons’ gravel lot south of CTH ZZ. Keep left and there will be a gravel lot (with a red shed behind it) on the left side of the road. A kiosk is on your left as you enter with a map and waiver instructions
