Quarry Ridge Bike Park: A New Playground for Riders of All Ages
Inspiration for big air comes with incrementally bigger launchpads in the proposal for a new bike park at Quarry ridge.
CORP Trails is stoked to share big news—plans are rolling for a Progressive Learning Area (bike park) at Quarry Ridge! Picture pump tracks, skills features, jumps, rollers, and progressive lines designed to help riders of all ages and abilities sharpen their skills in a safe, fun, and community-focused environment.
This project isn’t just about dirt and features—it’s about building confidence, friendships, and resilience on two wheels. A bike park like this will give kids a safe spot to play off-screen, provide older youth with an adrenaline-fueled challenge, and offer everyone from new riders to seasoned shredders a place to practice before tackling bigger features on our trail systems.
And the impact goes way beyond riding. A bike park at Quarry Ridge will bring people together, strengthen the Madison-area riding community, and boost the local economy as riders spend more time (and dollars) at nearby businesses. Riders from as far as Milwaukee will happily load up their cars for a chance to session this park.
Proposed location west of the retention pond.
Why It Matters
Builds confidence, balance, and bike handling skills
Provides a safe practice space to reduce injuries
Supports NICA athletes (and future riders) with skills they can’t always learn in practice
Creates a hub where riders of all ages can connect, learn, and progress

Timeline & Funding
The City of Fitchburg has already passed a preliminary funding proposal—a huge step forward! But, as with any trail project, final costs and timing are still TBD. Our goal is to break ground in 2026, and community support (and funding) will be the key to actually getting this built.
Other projects across the country demonstrate the popularity of progressive learning style bike parks.
How You Can Help
This is your chance to help bring a game-changing riding spot to the Madison area. Donate today and be part of the crew that makes Quarry Ridge Bike Park a reality. Every dollar gets us closer to the jumps, rollers, and pump tracks we’re dreaming of.
Together, let’s build the kind of bike park that keeps riders stoked, safe, and progressing for years to come.
Part of the proposal involves increasing parking in phases.
