Every Day Can be Women’s Mountain Bike Day with CORP Trails!
International Women’s Mountain Bike Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in May; this year, it was Saturday, May 3. It’s a day to honor and amplify the presence of women in mountain biking — a time to gather, experience the trails, and share the joy biking brings.
This year, CORP Trails marked the occasion with a workday at Badger Prairie led by trail steward Meg Doll. We had a great turnout and got a lot of projects accomplished! Unfortunately, due to muddy conditions, the planned women’s ride group had to be canceled.
But we have other chances to celebrate Women’s Mountain Biking! Join us for the following Women’s Group Rides at Quarry Ridge
Date: Thursday, May 29th and June 25th
Time: 5:30 - 7:00 PM
Location: Quarry Ridge
Led by: Beth Ross, CORP Trails Board Member & 2023 NICA Coach of the Year
These are NO DROP social rides. This event is all about having fun, making connections, and enjoying the trails together. ALL skill levels are welcome — no pressure, just good vibes and great company.
Stick around afterward for refreshments, to relax, share stories, and celebrate riding together. Bring your stoke, your friends, and your love for the trails. We hope to see you out there!
The idea for International Women’s Mountain Bike Day originated at a 2018 IMBA women’s conference, where participants brainstormed ways to engage more women in the sport. Out of that energy and enthusiasm, International Women’s Mountain Bike Day was born — a celebration dedicated to women riding together, encouraging each other, and growing the community.
