Free Mountain Bike Lessons Build Community at Aldo Leopold Park

Volunteer coach Eric Vincent shares mountain biking basics at Aldo Leopold Park.

This fall, CORP Trails teamed up with the City of Madison’s Leopold Arbor Hills Neighborhood Resource Team to bring free mountain bike lessons to kids and families in the Aldo Leopold neighborhood—and the response was amazing!

Over 20 riders, ranging in age from 4 to 33, hit the trails with huge smiles, cheered on by friends, family, and five awesome CORP Trails volunteer coaches.

The sessions mixed skill-building and confidence-boosting with plenty of laps on the Shred to School trail and the pump track, giving riders a chance to learn the basics and have a blast.

Our goal is simple: create a welcoming, supportive space that gets more kids on bikes and grows the next generation of riders. We’re stoked to be part of this partnership and can’t wait to see even more kids discover the joy of mountain biking!
