Sponsorship Spotlight: Atlas Wealth Advisers

CORP Trails is proud to partner with Atlas Wealth Advisers a local, independent financial planning firm in Madison. Jordan Truttschel is an owner and partner of Atlas and an avid mountain biker and supporter of CORP Trails. Here is a bit about Jordan in his words:

Throughout high school and college, I was a competitive runner in cross country and track.  I went to UW-Whitewater where I competed in those same sports and graduated with honors. My degree is in finance with a financial planning emphasis.  I am now an owner and partner at Atlas Wealth Advisers.  We are a local, independent financial planning firm in Madison.

My mountain biking journey was kicked off by a text from my best friend and current “riding buddy” back in 2018.  I was sitting on a beach in Hawaii, and he asked if I wanted to try a mountain bike race (Cheq 40).  I told him that I’d give it a shot and he (thankfully) talked me out of the longer route.  This proved to be spark that I needed to get back into endurance sports. On any given day, you may find me on any of the trail systems stretched across Dane County.  I have some wanderlust when it comes to mountain biking.  I love exploring new trails and sections of woods. The hum of a bike hub is sometimes the only thing that breaks the silence of the forest. Riding to me is where I can break away from the working world and provide myself with a mental reset.  It is also where I have found a strong community where I have established meaningful relationships. It has changed my identity for the better. I have a newfound love for a hobby challenges me, but also brings me incredible happiness and gratitude.

Even though it’s a way to escape, mountain biking requires many attributes that relate back to my career.  You must be disciplined in your approach and make good, long-term decisions if you want to improve. It requires patience and precision.  Like investing, you’re not going to find many short-cuts.  Often, those short-cuts prove to become long-cuts!

The local trail systems have become the staple of my enjoyment. Due to that, I have decided to support CORP and their mission to build community by creating and maintain trails.  Without their advocacy for our outdoor playground I’d be completely different person.
