A Cargo Bike for the Trail Crew

Thanks to a partnership between Motorless Motion, Tern Bicycles, and CORP Trails, the New Glarus Woods and Wild Oaks Preserve trail crew has a new tool to help add miles to the network this season: a heavy-duty cargo e-bike.

Following CORP Trails board member Matt Hamann’s suggestion, CORP acquired a Tern Orox as a way to transport fuel, tools, and supplies directly to the leading edge of trail construction. As an employee at Motorless Motion, Matt reached out to Tern purchasing and import manager Amber Krueger, who sourced a lightly used demo model complete with racks and bags. Motorless Motion facilitated the sale and gave the bike a full tune-up, making it ready to get to work.

This is a great example of a simple but creative solution that brings together the right equipment, the right partners, and a community willing to help solve problems.
