Dodgeville Trail Cluster
CORP Trails Membership and Waiver Required
The Dodgeville trail cluster is comprised of two adjacent properties, Thistle Hill and Bethel Horizons. Together, this system in the heart of the Drifless region offers fifteen miles of professionally-built singletrack running through stunning terrain. Its variety and quality make this a destination. CORP Trails members only. Fill out the required waiver at the trailhead or via this link.
Bethel Horizons
Over five miles of professionally built mountain bike trails are perfect for beginner riders and those looking to improve their skills. These trails through the heart of the Driftless Area have bluffs, views and lots of elevation change. Note that this system has limited, seasonal hours; see details under “Things to Know.”
Thistle Hill
The Thistle Hill trails will put a smile on your face. The trails start with beginner-friendly flow trails, progress to intermediate two-way, single-track through pine and aspen forests with various features along the way (always look for the B line!) and contain challenging rock armoring and difficult climbs. Rewards include thrilling descents and amazing views that start high, meander along the ridge, and dive down the ravine through a series of bermed turns before climbing back out. Ride along an old logging road and read the historic plaque where the original Norwegian settlers built their cabin. There are rock features, bridges, and fun, tight squeezes through rock outcroppings. Look out for deer, turkeys, bald eagles and other wildlife. The entire system is ten miles long and remote—a true nature bath experience.

Current conditions
-
The Dodgeville Trail Cluster takes advantage of everything the driftless region has to offer. Between Bethel Horizons and Thistle Hill you can find fifteen miles of professionally built flow trials ranging from beginner to advanced. Start off atop the rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin on relatively flat trails with gentle rollers and small berms. Increase the difficulty by heading down into the valleys for a faster ride with bigger berms and tighter turns. Look for features or B lines.
-
A Corp Trails membership and signed waiver is required to ride. Short-term memberships are available through this link or at the trailhead.
From June 15 - August 15, the trails at Bethel Horizons are only open Friday after 4pm through Sunday at 12pm due to summer camp programs.
Bethel Horizons reserves that right to close the trails due to conflicts with other camp programming. These closures would be posted here.
-
Parking for Thistle Hill is at Bethel Horizons’ gravel lot south of CTH ZZ. Keep left and there will be a gravel lot (with a red shed behind it) on the left side of the road. A kiosk is on your left as you enter with a map and waiver instructions and a portable toilet. Additionally there is a small lot at Thistle Hill right on CTH ZZ. Begin your ride by heading north along the fencerow and look for the trailhead kiosk and map before entering the woods.
